Kopapa review 2 – breakfast and brunch bonanza

Posted on October 9, 2011 by pickyglutton • 3 Comments

Is my favourite breakfast place in London still up to scratch? It’s been a while since my first visit to Kopapa, an Australian Antipodean cafe/restaurant that serves up a delicious French toast for breakfast, not because I haven’t wanted to but simply because I’ve been sidetracked by all the other places I’ve been eating at. … Continue reading →

Posted on September 19, 2011 by pickyglutton • 10 Comments

Where can you find the best flat white coffee in London? I risk overdosing on caffeine by sampling 21 different versions to find out. I’m an incurable caffeine addict  and my favourite poison is definitely coffee. My favourite type of coffee is the flat white and I wholly blame The Lensman for introducing me to … Continue reading →

Kopapa review – breakfast done right?

Posted on March 20, 2011 by pickyglutton • 2 Comments

If you’ve been following this blog then you’ll know that I’ve been on the hunt for an affordable and filling, yet gastronomically interesting breakfast for some time now. I may have found it at Kopapa, a cafe/restaurant in the Seven Dials part of London’s Covent Garden. One of the most important parts of any breakfast … Continue reading →

You need three things to enjoy the whole lamb, in your own private room, at Namak Mandi: A naan the size of a grown adult can mean only one thing: a gargantuan feast at Namek Mandi. • I’m not entirely convinced by the veg-first BBQish menu at Acme Fire Cult. But, if nothing else, the dishes certainly are pretty. • Some of the desserts at Acme Fire Cult: mascarpone semifreddo with nectarines, buttermilk pudding with plums and hazelnut chocolate ganache. • It's only available at weekends and it must be pre-ordered, but Plaza Khao Gaeng's crab special is just about worth the hassle. • Full review now up - see the link in my bio. Bitter gourd with fried egg at Plaza Khao Gaeng might not sound appetising to some, but this was an enjoyably flavoursome Thai dish. The pork larb, as well as the prawn and beans curry, weren't too shabby either. • Full review coming tomorrow. Lahpet in Covent Garden is a gem in more ways than one. It’s one of the very few Burmese restaurants London. And it serves up some barnstorming dishes too! • If you’ve never had Burmese food before, then Lahpet in Covent Garden is an excellent place to try it and enrich your mealtimes! • Oink oink! The whole suckling pig at @sarap_london is a beast of a feast! •
